(21) Effect of insulin on gastroesophageal reflux disease and stomach and oesophageal cancer

1. Description and function of the esophagus
The oesophagus is a duct used to carry food from the mouth to the stomach, starting from the pharynx and ending in the stomach, through the diaphragm . The inside of the oesophagus is always lubricated. After swallowing, the sphincter at the upper edge of the oesophagus closes, the circular and longitudinal muscle layers of the oesophagus create the peristalsis pushing the food towards the lower edge of the oesophagus where the lower sphincter (sphincter Barrett) is located, the latter opens to let the food enter the stomach; this sphincter also prevents any reflux from the stomach to the oesophagus.

The vagus nerve, also known as the pneumogastric nerve, presides over vegetative regulation (digestion, heart rate, etc.). It conveys sensory, motor and especially parasympathetic vegetative information to the whole body.

Mouth-lung-stomach-spleen-liver-gall bladder-small intestine-large intestine-anus, all are involved in the proper functioning of the digestive system.

2. Description and function of the stomach
The stomach is a capital J-shaped pouch, which can hold up to 3 to 4 litres of food The upper part of the stomach (cardia) is connected to the terminal part of the oesophagus. The terminal part of the stomach (pylorus) is in junction with the beginning of the small intestine (duodenum). The stomach wall has 5 layers whose functions are to secrete enzymes and gastric juice, and also to contract the stomach through the longitudinal layer(outer layer), circular layer(middle layer) and oblique layer(inner layer).


Gastric juice is composed of bile (and bile acids secreted by the liver to digest food), pepsin (enzyme to break down protein), and hydrochloric acid (HCL to lower pH). The pH of gastric juice is strongly acidic (1 to 5) to promote food digestion. Stomach movements will knead solid foods into liquid nutrients (stomach chyme) to be transformed into blood and energy. The chyme leaves the stomach and begins to flow into the small intestine.

Nutrient absorption is done in the small intestine, another re-absorption is done in the large intestine to separate waste into urine and stool.

3. Œsophageal cancer
Foods that are too spicy, drinks that are too hot, gastroesophageal reflux at acidic pH...might cause permanent burns to the oesophagus leading to the development of oesophageal cancer.

4. Stomach cancer
The main signs of stomach cancer are: digestive disorders and food processing disorders, diabetes in continuous treatment with insulin injection, with high blood sugar and acid pH, fatigue, lack of appetite, swelling of the upper abdomen, nausea after meals, vomiting of blood, diarrhea, malnutrition, weight loss, lack of blood, loss of balance, formation of blood clots in the stomach and oesophagus.....

5. Detection and treatment of stomach cancer according to QiQongTherapy, branch of Complementary Medicine
It is always the lack of glucose that is the cause of cancer.

Glucose deficiency does not provide the necessary energy and heat needed by the stomach to digest food to transform it into energy and nutritious blood, but on the contrary, food would be transformed into fat. Undigested food stays in the stomach, ferments, and causes ulcers in the stomach that could cause gastroesophageal reflux; the inert stomach becomes like a garbage can, which will turn into stomach cancer.

Stomach cancer progresses in 4 stages, very little noticeable because the signs are transient and random, thus not attracting any particular attention. At the last stage, the stomach must be surgically removed. The oesophagus is connected directly to the small intestine.

a. Detection of the malfunction of the digestive system
In this case study, the referenced blood pressure values for a person aged 41 to 59 years are:
Systolic: 120-130 mmHg; Diastolic: 70-80 mmHg; Pulse: 70-75 bpm

Systolic represents Energy; Diastolic represents Blood; Pulsation represents Sugar content (heat-cold).

Measuring the tension on the left arm provides information about the stomach, and measuring the tension on the right arm gives information about the liver.

Case 1
Before meals, the stomach is empty, its blood pressure on the left must be lower than that of the liver on the right, because the liver begins to secrete bile to give the feeling of hunger..After meal, the stomach starts the digestion, the blood pressure raises up.

Before meals, left: 120mmHg/70mmHg/70; right: 130mmH/g70mmHg/70

After meals, left: 130mmHg/80mmHg/75; right: 120mmHg/80mmHg/75

These values indicate that the digestive system is functioning properly, as there is an adequate difference in the level of tension before and after meals between the two arms. Food is transformed into blood and energy.

Case 2
If the measurements are:

Before meals, left: 130mmHg/70mmHg/70mmHg/70; right: 120mmHg/70mmHg/70

After meals, left: 130mmHg/70mmHg/70mmHg/70; right: 120mmHg/70mmHg/70

There is no difference in the level of tension between the arms before and after meals, this indicates that the stomach is inert, does not work and the liver is sclerosed.

Case 3
On the other hand, if the measures are:

Before meals, left: 130mmHg/70mmHg/70mmHg/70; right: 120mmHg/70mmHg/70

After meals, left: 120mmHg/80mmHg/80mmHg/70; right: 130mmHg/80mmHg/70

This is a case of reverse food processing.

These values indicate that the stomach does not work properly to digest food, the liver had to work before the meals to secrete bile, but it only does so after meals. The transformation is reversed, this situation would cause acidity in the stomach (due to the late secretion of bile in the stomach) and would give hot gas ratios, gastroesophageal reflux, gastric ulcer and stomach cancer.

b. Detection of stomach cancer
Measuring the blood pressure at the left arm provides information about the condition of the stomach.

The advantage of regular measurements is that they allow to monitor the evolution of the cancer.

From 110 mmHg to 100 mmHg, the signs are not very noticeable. Without regular measurements, it is not known that cancer continues to progress.

If the values are continuously decreasing, it is the aggravation of the disease.

The values 80/60/55 indicate an established stomach cancer, there is frequent pain. If the tension continues to decrease, the final phase would be inevitable.

Systolic: 80 mmHg: energy is insufficient for the functioning of the stomach, the latter becomes inert, no longer able to provide contractions, the stomach shrinks, decreases in volume and can no longer receive food. There is generalized weakness throughout the body.

Diastolic: 60 mmHg: lack of iron, lack of B12, acute anemia sets in, dizziness, vertigo, loss of balance, weight loss.

Pulse: 55 heartbeats per minute: severe lack of sugar, the whole body is cold, blood circulation is slowed...... giving blood clot formation, obstructions of blood vessels, pain states.

c. Treatment of stomach cancer
The inside of the cancerous stomach is very acidic, it should be:
neutralize acidity in the stomach by drinking pH9 alkaline water (for sale at markets or super markets)
lie down and roll over to fully distribute the alkalinity to the entire stomach. By remaining in a sitting or standing position, the alkaline liquid will only go down to the bottom of the stomach to stay there, but cannot be mixed with all the acid content in the stomach, to neutralize it.

Repeat as many times as necessary until healed. Drink the pH9 alkaline liquid and roll over. The blood pressure monitor values will stabilize and start to rise.

d. Regeneration of stomach function
The stomach is at the beginning of convalescence, you should only eat liquid:

Reduce to boil and drink the portion of a bowl of Phở (Tonkinese soup/beef soup) at all meals. Phở contains the 5 essential flavours to replenish energy and blood.
drink at least 1 litre, or more, of sugar cane juice per day. Sugar cane juice contains many nutrients: glucose, insulin, vitamin B12, Ca++.......and also increases blood volume.
roll over to distribute the liquid meal to the whole stomach, and the nourishing blood to the whole body.

Repeat steps 1-2-3 as long as necessary, while following the evolution of the disease by monitoring the blood pressure.

Healing is achieved, the stomach becomes functional again, when the measured blood pressures reach the age-referenced values of the person in question.

An unrestricted diet, neither in sugar, variety nor quantity, is desired. Don't forget to practice the QiQongTherapy exercises!

6. Notes

1. Before the course, Master Do measured his blood sugar: 203 mg/dL, he wanted to raise the blood sugar further, to prove that a high blood sugar is not to be feared, he drank a glass of water containing 5 teaspoons of glucose.

- At the end of the class, his blood sugar level is: 119mg/dL, pH 7.5

Fruit and vegetable sugars have an acid pH. Only lemons, limes have an alkaline pH, although their flavours are acidic
